Meet SETH JOHNSON
Based in Cookeville, Tennessee, Seth Johnson is a singer-songwriter and the one-man band behind Total Request with Seth—an interactive live music experience inspired by MTV’s Total Request Live.
After years of performing acoustic covers and playing in bands, Seth wanted to create something different: a show with the flexibility of a solo performer, the sound of a full band, and a setlist chosen by the audience.
Armed with a guitar, harmonica, a knack for whistling, and a pedalboard full of musical wizardry, Seth builds his sound live using drums, bass, keys, vocal harmonies, and layered guitars. No backing tracks. Everything is created live.
With a repertoire of 625+ songs spanning the 1950s through today, Seth covers everything from classic rock and country to pop, folk, and those unforgettable late-’90s and early-2000s MTV hits. Audience members can browse his interactive song menu and text requests throughout the performance, making every show unique.
The format is flexible, too. Seth can tailor a setlist to the occasion, scale back to a traditional acoustic performance, incorporate his original folk-rock music, or even learn special requests with sufficient advance notice.
Whether it’s an intimate gathering or a lively venue, Total Request with Seth brings the sound of a band, the flexibility of a solo musician, and a show that’s never quite the same twice.
